2013 Pet Parade

Award Winners Grand Prize: “Support Our Troops” by the Delgado family – Isa, Rocio, Honxabii, Leilani (14), Mia (2), Librada (2), and Ezekiel (4) from San Mateo with their chihuahuas, Tiny and Lucky. Best Dressed: Kathy Kellman from Stockton with Poe, her xoloitzcuintli Mexican hairless dog dressed as a bride and groom. Most Unusual Animal: Yvette (17) and Alexandra (10) Goslawski from Burlingame with Rocky, their bearded dragon. Most Original Group: The Graczewski family – Tim, Cheryl, Will (10) and their lab mix Digs – and the Rubero family – Angelo, Lynn, Corbin (10) and their cocker spaniel Sage – from Burlingame, all dressed as characters from “The Wizard of Oz.” Best Pet Trick: Kathy Kellman from Stockton with Fiona, her schnauzer who can pick up her toys and put them in a basket, get a tissue when Kathy sneezes, and play the piano. Background This was the 10th annual Pet Parade. In honor of our 10th anniversary, we gave away free ice cream cones to all children who turn 10 this year. The parade was started in 2004 by a group of volunteers who wanted to promote community spirit and have a good time.
