Pet Parade

More than 2,000 people gathered for the 11th annual Burlingame Pet Parade on Saturday, September 27, 2014.  This family friendly annual event  provides free entertainment for people and their pets.   The Grand Marshals were the Beagle Brigade of the U.S. Customs Border Protection Unit, led by Detector Dog Skipper.   The newly formed Mid-Peninsula Dog Scouts of America troop marched in the parade alongside dogs, cats, chickens, snakes and many other animals.  The Burlingame Mothers’ Club and Art Attack provided face painting and art projects for children.  The Burlingame High School Band and the Los Trancos Woods Marching Band marched in the parade. The San Mateo Elks Concert Band played before and after the parade.  The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA brought its mobile adoption team and its volunteers provided coordination for the parade.
